Doncaster Rovers and Club Doncaster Community Foundation will host a series of test health AAA screening clinics next month.
They have joined forces with South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw’s Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Screening Programme, hoping to protect older male fans from the potentially life threatening condition.
AAA is swelling occurring in a main blood vessel, called the oarta, which weakens and expands. There are no signs of AAA, and it can lead to a rupture and a risk of death from internal bleeding if left untreated.
The first of three AAA screenings will take place at Keepmoat Stadium on 4 May 2017. All male fans over 65 can book an appointment by calling 01709 649100, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting the AAA website http://aaa.dbh.nhs.uk
