Doncaster Rovers and Doncaster Knights have handed out presents to children at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

First to visit were the players of Doncaster Knights Rugby Football Club. They visited the Childrens Ward on Monday 19 December, providing gifts to those having to spend time in hospital over Christmas. The gifts were donated by fans and the local community; through a toy appeal organised by the club.

Presents were also handed out by Doncaster Rovers Football Club, who also visit the hospital every Christmas. The presents were bought after a collection from Rovers' staff while the players themselves made a further donation.

The money from Rovers will be used to buy a light desk, which will be used by all children on the wards. Though this will be particularly useful for children with special needs.
